ABOUT THE PROJECT
The objective for this project was to create a new brand and logo for the national alliance to stop impaired driving. NASID is as the acronym describes, an organization that seeks to stop impaired driving. The founder had a very tragic impaired driving accident happen to him. So the brand is very near and dear to his heart.
What I really wanted to do with the brand is not focus on the super negative aspect of impaired driving. Instead focus on the good that NASID is striving towards. To do this I used an arrow motif to show moving forward but I went a little farther than that. The arrow quite literally implies direction. The shape of the arrow is made of two nonlinear shapes coming together to move forward. The arrow is curved to suggest that not everyone started on the same path but everyone is coming together to the same purpose. The colors reference a stop light and the green at the tip of the arrow represents those nonlinear shapes coming together to do something good.
As this logo was going to be mostly used by them and not myself I went into great detail about how to use the logo correctly.
